The Human-Computer Interaction Center was also represented this year at the largest international conference on human-computer interaction. The conference took place from 26 – 31 July 2019 in Orlando, Florida, USA, and was filled with numerous publications and presentations on various human-machine topics. The conference agenda mainly included keynotes, individual lectures and poster presentations which were sorted according to the thematic focus of the corresponding submitted scientific articles.
Opening Plenary Session, HCI 2019
The HCIC and Aperol project member Teresa Brell presented her work on trust in automation. The title of the presented paper is: „Trust in autonomous technologies – A contextual comparison of influecing user factors“ It deals with a contextual comparison of autonomous technologies: Mobility and Smart Home. The focus was on the investigation of user diversity and the identification and evaluation of perceived benefits and barriers but also on trust-related and use-intensive aspects.
