On 10 October 2019, Teresa Brell (HCIC), Dr Giovanni Prestifilippo and Dr Andreas Hucht (both PSI Logistics) presented the APEROL project at the BMVI expert discussion “Digital Test Fields” in Berlin. Around 75 participants from industry and research could learn more about the current status and the main focus of the APEROL project through a presentation by Teresa Brell and an accompanying exhibition stand. Furthermore, the expert discussion offered a good platform for professional exchange with another 10 research projects on “autonomous transport”.

In addition to the technical topics of the development of the vehicle, sensor technology and simulation as well as the booking and remuneration system, including user app, the explanations on the questions of citizen participation and user motivation in the APEROL project met with great interest. Here, the focus was on the findings of the Aachen Civil Dialogue of April this year, for which a video sequence was also presented.
